Self Care and Self Compassion

 all go hand in hand.

We all Know what happiness is but what is wellness, we all might see this differently.

The dictionary says this: the state or condition of being in good physical and mental health: when you come right down to it, stress affects every aspect of wellness

This next story is one of my favorites. I named one of my companies Two Wolves. It is something I can relate to strongly.

THE TWO WOLVES A CHEROKEE STORY A young boy came to his Grandfather, filled with anger at another boy who had done him an injustice. The old Grandfather said to his grandson, "Let me tell you a story. I too, at times, have felt a great hate for those that have taken so much, with no sorrow for what they do. But hate wears you down, and hate does not hurt your enemy. Hate is like taking poison and wishing your enemy would die. I have struggled with these feelings many times." "It is as if there are two wolves inside me; one wolf is good and does no harm. He lives in harmony with all around him and does not take offence when no offence was intended. He will only fight when it is right to do so, and in the right way. But the other wolf, is full of anger. The littlest thing will set him into a fit of temper." "He fights everyone, all the time, for no reason. He cannot think because his anger and hate are so great. It is helpless anger, because his anger will change nothing. Sometimes it is hard to live with these two wolves inside me, because both of the wolves try to dominate my spirit." The boy looked intently into his Grandfather's eyes and asked, "Which wolf will win, Grandfather?" The Grandfather smiled and said, "The one I feed."

How Important is it?

1: Your physical activity and how healthy you are.

This includes how active you are. Being active relieves stress and your physical looks are important in how well you take care of yourself. Being Physical has many health benefits which is important in its self.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention talks about all the benefits of your health.

 All this plays into Happiness and Wellness.  

2: Your Mental Health

How you feel about yourself and your outlook on life is iEvery part of you and all the things you say and do affect who you are. Let me start by talking about the obvious.mportant to mental health. For me when I am in business situations I am in my mature mode. At other times my wife tell me I act like a child.

I believe the reason for this is that I do not take myself or life that serious. Life is going to happen around you and this should have no affect on how you see life as a whole. For me I know that there is a reason for everything that happens and I choose not to let the negative affect how I see things. This leads into your spiritual health.

People usually consider walking on water or in thin air a miracle. But I think the real miracle is not to walk either on water or in thin air, but to walk on earth.

3: Your Spiritual Health

How people see you is part of your legacy. How you see yourself is just as important as to how you will ultimately act and grow spiritually. As I teach in these pages what you say and what you think will become your reality.

So you have to decide what you want out of life and how you want to be seen by others. We all have a hard time doing the right thing all the time. What is important is how often you do the right thing.

We do not have to go thru life trying to be a Saint. What is important is we try everyday to do the right thing and be all that we can be. Try doing your best in all that you do. How you do life is what will end up manifesting in all that you do. So what all this means is you are the Author of your life. So meditate and really put forth your best effort.
