The secret of happiness is not a secret. Everyone likes to have things sound mysterious. Our connection to God or the universe is something we all new and felt when we were born. It is that magical child like faith that everything is perfect and that no harm can come to you. That warm and safe feeling that your parents supplied to you and immediately new that all was well with the world. You explored everything with a open mind and imagined great things and places. There was no limit to your imagination only the wonderment of creating.
Then as you grew and your peers and other adults started with their fears and negativity you stared slowly loosing that wonderment. You were told that it was growing up, it was being an adult. You were told to leave childish things behind and grow up. So I guess this means that all the dreams and wonderment we saw in the world was only make believe. It was just the imagination of a child and not real. Or was it real and we just took this long to realize it. I was told that the secret of happiness was getting a job, work hard and stop being foolish.
I am going to try and explain it like this: imagine the world which to some extent is like the ocean. The earths surface is made of about 70% water, it is like a big bowl. When the sun evaporates the water it goes into the atmosphere, when it rains it comes back. When it freezes it is hard, it warms it melts. Thru all of this it is still just water. Now move that bowl full of water ever so gently and it makes waves from one side to the other. Every ripple of that water is like the universe. Everything has a action and reaction, cause and effect. So for every action you take no matter how small causes a ripple in the universe that sets up cause and effect. Everything that happens affects something else. Every thing you do has a consequence.
In part it is doing the right thing. Being genuine and loving in what ever you do. This next part is from a great book and movie. It is a way of life for some. I incorporate it in my everyday living.
"We cannot solve life's problems except by solving them. This statement may seem idiotically tautological or self-evident, yet it is seemingly beyond the comprehension of much of the human race. This is because we must accept responsibility for a problem before we can solve it. We cannot solve a problem by saying "It's not my problem." We cannot solve a problem by hoping that someone else will solve it for us. I can solve a problem only when I say "This is my problem and it's up to me to solve it." But many, so many, seek to avoid the pain of their problems by saying to themselves: "This problem was caused me by other people, or by social circumstances beyond my control, and therefore 34 DISCIPLINE it is up to other." M. SCOTT PECK, M.D. The Road Less Traveled.
THE FIRST INSIGHT . . .
A CRITICAL MASS
"A new spiritual awakening is occurring in human culture, an awakening brought about by a critical mass of individuals who experience their lives as a spiritual unfolding, a journey in which we are led forward by mysterious coincidences.
Noticing Synchronicity
SYNCHRONICITY is the entry point, the measure of whether we’re connected spiritually. These “meaningful coincidences” are tiny miracles steering us toward the good life. They are always seeking first, to awaken us, and then to allow us to be guided by a spiritual connection to the unfolding of our intended destiny. Staying in a state of alert expectation concerning the major questions of our lives, or the help we need, increases the frequency of Synchronistic answers. The secret is remembering, first thing in the morning, to watch for these magical Synchronistic moments."
James Redfield The Celestine Prophecy
What is important to remember is to always do the right thing. Show love to all as you can. Be forgiven and a good friend. Just like we learned in kindergarten say please and thank you and if you do the right thing, good things will happen for you.

LIVE IN THE PRESENT
"LIFE is for us to-day. There will be no change for to-morrow unless we do the changing to-day. To-day we are setting in motion the power of to-morrow. Today is God's day, and we must extract from it what of life we are to live. Tomorrow in the divine course of events will care for itself. The soul that learns to live in the great gladness of to-day will never weary of life but will find that he is living in an eternal here and now. Now, all good is his; now, all life, truth and love are his; now, he has entered in, and the good things of life are his today. "Lord, for to-morrow and its needs I do not pray, Make me to do thy will just for to-day." Let your soul sing to-day and the song that comes to-morrow will be all the sweeter, will ring out over the vistas of time with an unmistakable clearness. Here is a soul who knows himself and has found life. within himself, who has met God to-day. No more waiting, no more longing, no more weary roads to travel. He has arrived. The goal is won and peace has come at last. To-clay." Ernest Holmes Creative Mind
