Our self-contentedness and resentments are the chains that bind us. It makes little difference whether these faults are outstanding or subtle, whether they are justified or not. We are still in a bind. We can not be free till that bind is broken. Unless our attachments to negative things are broken, our union with the Divine Source is hindered.
